The whereabouts of the gold bars purchased with the money embezzled by Osstem Implant employees have been identified.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency said today (12th) that they confiscated 100 1kg gold bars from Lee's sister's residence.
Mr. Lee bought 851 gold bars as embezzlement money, and the police seized 497 in the process of arresting Mr. Lee on the 5th and 254 from the residence of Mr. Lee's father in Paju, Gyeonggi Province yesterday.
The police said that most of the 220 billion won Lee embezzled, 188 billion won, the actual amount of damage, has been identified.
Mr. Lee invested in 42 stocks and lost 76.1 billion won.
It was found that 110 billion won was spent on gold bars, real estate, resort memberships, and building loan repayment.
Of this, 25.2 billion won remains in stock accounts and is frozen.
