At the construction site of a high-rise apartment building in Gwangju, the exterior wall collapsed, injuring three workers.



At around 3:40 pm today, at the construction site of Hwajeong Hyundai I-Park, Hwajeong-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju, the outer wall of the apartment collapsed.



It is known that the injured were involved in an accident while working on the first floor when the outer wall collapsed, collided with debris or was isolated in a construction site container.



As the outer wall collapsed, the falling structure hit cars parked nearby, and as a result, about 10 vehicles were buried.



The accident occurred while workers were pouring concrete on the roof of the 39th floor of a new apartment building when the outer walls of the 23rd and 34th floors collapsed, the fire department said.



All personnel involved in the pouring operation were found to be safe.



Residents near the accident site are being evacuated in case the outer wall further collapses.



The fire department, which dispatched 75 firefighters to the scene of the accident, will conduct a safety diagnosis and then send rescue personnel to the inside.
