Controversy has arisen over the fact that a high school girl sent a consolation letter that seemed to mock an army soldier.

Yesterday (11th), an article titled 'a letter of consolation received while serving in the military' was posted on various online communities.

Writer A revealed the contents of a consolation letter written on the 30th of last month by a second-year student at a high school in Seoul, saying, "I was asked to post by a friend."

The high school girl wrote in the letter, "Thank you for working hard for the country in this cold weather. Are you having a hard time in the military? Still, live your life hard^^ There will be many trials in your life, so you must overcome this level to be a man, right?"

He added, "I'm going to die now because I'm a senior in high school, but I'm participating in events like this, so work hard. You sing in the military too. What if you were born as a man? .

Mr. A said, "Most of them had only nice words on pretty stationery, but my friend said that he lost his motivation and was very upset when he received such a letter. I'd rather not write it."

After the letter was released, malicious comments poured in from the student who wrote the letter and the school the student attended. In response, some students from the same school explained the situation at the time when they sent a condolence letter through SNS and apologized instead.

One student said, "The school has long been forcing students to voluntarily spend volunteer hours to write condolence letters. It seems that dissatisfaction with this is expressed in a bad form in the letter." It is clearly the student's fault to write a letter with such content. It is also the school's fault for delivering such a letter as it is."

He continued, "I am not the school representative, but as a member of the school, I feel sorry for this incident. Both students and the school will receive criticism and work hard to prevent a recurrence," he said. I hope you don't do it," he wrote.

Another student posted a carefully written letter on SNS saying, "Not everyone wrote consolation letters with that kind of content. There are a lot of people who wrote it hard."

Netizens who heard this story commented, "It's too much for the struggling soldiers", "A high school girl who writes a mockery letter should be disciplined", "I feel skeptical after going to the military", "At some point in time, I was forced to send a consolation letter at school." Did you?" and so on.

This is a 'news pick'.
