Police are investigating the cause of death after the death of the informant who first raised the so-called 'suspicion of paying attorneys' fees' by Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung.

The informant, Mr. Lee, was found dead in a motel in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul at around 8:40 on the night of the 11th.

Mr. Lee, who is known to have stayed at the motel for a long time, was discovered by the police after receiving a report from his family that he had not been contacted for several days.

Lee's will has not been found at the scene.

A police official investigating Lee's death said, "No suspicion of murder was found. Since it is difficult to estimate the cause of death, we plan to entrust an autopsy."

'Lee Jae-myung's suspicion of paying attorney's fees'...

'Company S paid for the attorney's fees?'

Lee, who is known to have been a member of the Democratic Party for nearly 20 years, is the person who reported the 'suspicion of paying attorneys' fees' to the Awakening Citizens' Solidarity Party (abbreviated as Kaesiyeon), which is considered a 'friend' group.

The point of 'suspicion of paying attorneys' fees' dates back to when candidate Lee Jae-myung was tried in the past when he and his wife Kim Hye-kyung were tried for violating the Public Official Election Act when he was the governor of Gyeonggi.

At that time, it is suspected that lawyer Tae-hyung Lee, who was in charge of defending the couple at the time, received some of the attorney's fees in convertible bonds from a company called S, not Lee.

Mr. Lee, who died at the time, has claimed that Lee received about 2 billion won worth of convertible bonds, which are bonds that can be converted into stocks at a later date, from Company S.

In an interview with several media outlets, Lee said, "It was the first time I heard about the 'suspect of paying attorneys' fees' from businessman Choi Mo, who is close to lawyer Lee Tae-hyung."

Gae Si-yeon was handed a transcript from Mr. Lee, and in October of last year, publicized the allegation under the name of 'Lee Jae-myung's lawyer's fee payment allegation', and filed a complaint with the prosecution, claiming that candidate Lee had falsely disclosed the details of his attorney's fee payment.

Candidate Lee's side filed a counter-accusation against this, claiming that Mr.

Mr. Lee, who died, posted on Facebook, "I never intend to commit suicide"...

Opposition "a creepy and eerie coincidence"

As Mr. Lee was found dead, suspicions about the cause of death are growing, and the posts that Mr. Lee left on SNS last month are also attracting attention.

Mr. Lee has been communicating with his acquaintances through social media, including posting articles related to 'Lee Jae-myung's suspicion of paying attorneys' fees' on his Facebook page around the summer of last year before making the allegations public through Kaesiyeon.

Based on this, the opposition parties are raising suspicions that there is something unclear about Mr. Lee's death.

Former lawmaker Kim Jin-tae, who is chairing the 'Lee Jae-myung Corruption National Inspection Special Committee' in the People's Power, said on December 10, last year, on his Facebook, "This life (this life) is ruined, but my ex-daughter and son. I have no intention of committing suicide until I see them get married."

Former lawmaker Kim said, "Lee talked to me a few times, but he has no reason to commit suicide because he is a whistleblower."

Along with the power of the people, the Justice Party also called for an investigation into the truth about Mr. Lee's death.

Jang Hye-young, senior spokeswoman for the Justice Party, said in a briefing, "It's already the third time that the people involved in the allegations surrounding candidate Lee Jae-myung have suddenly died.

The third death after Yuhan-gi and Kim Moon-ki, who died in 'Daejangdong suspicion'...

Attention to autopsy results with high interest

Following the deaths of Yuhan-ki and Kim Moon-ki, who were considered the key figures to uncover the reality of the 'Daejangdong suspicion', there are voices calling for the cause of death to be identified as soon as possible when Mr.

The late Yuhan-gi was the head of the development division of Seongnam Urban Development Corporation during the Daejang-dong project development process. A person who was called.

In the process of selecting a private operator for the Daejang-dong development, Yoo has been pointed out as a person involved in the selection of the Seongnam Ui Garden Consortium, which includes Hwacheon Daeyu, as the preferred bidder.

In particular, Yoo has been under investigation by the prosecution after it was revealed that he said, "Isn't it because of the mayor's order?" in a transcript of an invitation to resign as president of the then former president of Seongnam Urban Development Corporation, Hwang Moo-seong.

The late Kim Moon-ki, the former head of development at Seongnam Urban Development Corporation, who worked under Yoo's position, was found dead 11 days after Yoo died of extreme choices.

Mr. Kim, who was in charge of the business agreement that set the dividend rate of the profits from the development of Daejang-dong, was pointed out as a person deeply involved in the development of Daejang-dong, and has been investigated several times by the prosecution and the police.

However, no wills have been found from the two people who died leaving a will or handwritten letter, and from Mr. Lee.

This is why there are voices calling for speeding up the investigation as unconfirmed allegations are amplifying in various ways while the investigation into the cause of death is still ongoing.

It seems that the police will first check the CCTV to see if anyone has visited the motel where Mr. Lee was staying, and at the same time investigate the people around him.

In addition, an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of Lee's death.
