A construction site for a new logistics warehouse in Pyeongtaek, where three firefighters died while searching for lives on the morning of the 6th.

The joint inspection of the construction site started on the morning of the 10th.

As a result of a safety assessment of the building, it was determined that it was possible to enter the building.

About 40 people from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation, as well as the police and fire departments, participated in the joint investigation.

Forensic agents are intensively investigating the first floor of the building where the fire is believed to have started.

Starting from the initial ignition point, we plan to closely examine the reasons for the fire's re-spread and the cause of the firefighter's death.

Police investigations are also accelerating.

On the 7th, the police are conducting an analysis of the data obtained from the search and seizure process targeting construction companies and supervisory companies, and are investigating by calling in the relevant persons.

Police are also paying attention to the fact that the construction site was pointed out as dangerous for fire by the relevant authorities about 40 days before the fire.

Previously, the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency pointed out that there is a risk of fire if pipes are cut on the 4th floor after inspecting the construction site in November last year.

The police plan to check whether there has been any on-site action in response to these allegations.
