Two teenagers were caught by the police after graffiti on cultural properties with spray paint.



Yeongwolru is a designated cultural property of Gyeonggi-do located in Yeoju.



There are black graffiti on the back of the stairs, on the pillars and on the cornerstones.



On the 29th of last month, two teenagers used black spray paint to graffiti on 10 places including the cornerstone, pillars, and second floor of Yeongwolru.



An official from Yeoju, who discovered the graffiti, collected spray paint, which was presumed to have been used in the crime, and requested an investigation by the police after checking the CCTV.



Estimated to have been built at the end of the 18th century, Yeongwolru is the main gate of the former Yeoju Gwana, and was designated as a cultural property in Gyeonggi-do in 1983.



A police official said that they confirmed the circumstances of the crime through CCTV tracking and plan to summon them soon to investigate the exact circumstances.
