When the court decided to suspend the quarantine pass for private academies, reading rooms, and study cafes, the government came up with a plan to strengthen the density standards of private academies instead of quarantine passes. Academies are protesting, and students and parents are just confused.

Reporter Han Seong-hee covered the site.

Before the quarantine pass was applied, only one student per 4 square meters of classroom was allowed to use the academy.

One seat was also obligatory, but the government plans to revive this measure in line with the suspension of the quarantine pass.

Academies are now in a situation where they have to re-schedule their classes in consideration of the number of people allowed per classroom.

[Ham Young-eon/CEO: Usually, there are about ten people in this place, but only two people can fit in this place. In addition, teachers are inevitably needed... .]

Parents continue to inquire about how long the quarantine pass will last.

[Na Sang-bin/CEO: (Parents) Please keep asking. You have a lot of

worries

about 'what should I do then' and 'what should I do?'

[Song Eun-hee/Parents: Well, are you waiting a little longer? I have to send the academy, but now the academy has been suspended, so I don't know what will happen... .]

[Jo Hee-rim/Parents: I hope that a decision is made quickly in any direction so that we can get out of the confusion…

There are growing calls to revise the current quarantine pass application standards.

Restaurants and cafes are eligible for the quarantine pass, but it does not apply to water parks or kids cafes where you can eat, PC rooms and art galleries, which are similar industries, are applicable, and arcades and exhibitions are not.

Pointing out this problem, 1,700 citizens, including students, decided to file an application for an injunction to suspend the effect separately from the constitutional complaint with the Constitutional Court today (7th).
