There were no casualties, but the risk of collapse of the building cannot be ruled out, so authorities are checking the situation at the site.



According to the city of Goyang, the accident was reported at 11:34 am today.



As soon as the report was received, the management office gave an announcement, and about 60 residents of the shopping mall were evacuated.



Police and fire departments are dispatched to the scene to determine whether or not there are people who have not been able to evacuate and establish a police line to control the surrounding area.



The city of Goyang, together with KEPCO and the District Heating Corporation, is also inspecting facilities such as various pipes under the collapsed road after shutting off the gas pipe.



The city believes that the accident occurred when the structure of the parking lot column on the 3rd basement level of the building ruptured.




The building in which the accident occurred is a building close to Exit 8 near Madu Station. It is a shopping mall with 3 basement levels and 7 above-ground floors, with a total floor area of ​​12,730㎡.



It is said that there are a total of 18 stores, including 9 restaurants, 2 entertainment establishments, and 5 beauty salons.



So far, it has been determined that there has been no disruption to train operation at Madu Station due to this accident.
