Reporter Park Chan-geun, many people must have been surprised, but is there any confirmed cause of the accident?

This 7-story building behind me is where the column crack occurred today.

Although the exact cause of the accident has not been revealed yet, Goyang City Hall sent 10 safety diagnosis experts to check it, and first made the first judgment that there is no possibility of the building collapsing.

It was around 11:30 am today when a report was received that the building was unsafe.

It was reported that there was a big crack in the pillar of the parking lot on the 3rd basement floor, and about 300 people in the shopping mall were evacuated quickly, and a 5m diameter and 50cm deep ground also occurred on the sidewalk right next to the entrance to the underground parking lot of the building.

Is this not the first time something like this has happened to that building?

<Reporter>

According to an employee who has been managing this building for a long time, there have already been several dents and cracks in the building. Let's hear it for yourself.

[Lee Hyun-moo / Accidental building management employee: The ground subsidence phenomenon, that is now around 2015, the ground here started to sink little by little.

It often subsides, so the city hall came up here a few times to repair it.]

First, the police and fire departments are controlling the people to prevent people from approaching the building by setting up access control lines around the building.

The city hall said that as a temporary measure, the construction of reinforcing the cracked column would be completed by the end of today.
