Even department stores and large marts, where you can enter regardless of your vaccination history if you fill out an electronic access list such as a QR check, will be restricted from using it without a quarantine pass from the 10th of next month.

In a briefing on the morning of the 31st, the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters announced that the quarantine pass will be applied from January 10 to large marts and department stores with an area of 3,000 square meters or more that are subject to the electronic access list.

The central government said that large marts and department stores had been excluded from the application of the quarantine pass due to difficulties in access control, but decided to apply it in consideration of the ongoing concerns about the risk of quarantine and equity with other facilities.

However, in consideration of the chaos on the site and the time required to prepare facilities to confirm the quarantine pass, it was announced that a one-week guidance period would be granted from January 10 to 16.

The quarantine pass will not be applied to religious facilities where group infections have continued recently, and according to the current quarantine standards, it will limit the number of people to 30% of the occupancy and 70% if only those who have been vaccinated.
