Prosecutors demanded loss of parental authority while handing over fathers who were unwilling to raise their children to trial.

The Daegu District Prosecutor's Office for Women and Children Crime Investigation (Prosecutor Jeong Hyun-seung) announced today (23rd) that it had requested loss of parental authority while detaining and indicting 38-year-old A on charges of sexually assaulting her daughter while she had AIDS.

Mr. A is accused of threatening his 8-year-old daughter in February 2019 and then sexually assaulting him three times.

Fortunately, A's daughter, who was sexually assaulted, recently tested negative for the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

The prosecution requested the loss of parental authority at the same time as the indictment, as it was determined that it was necessary to promptly deprive A of parental authority for the emotional stability of the victim and prevention of recidivism.

Separately, the prosecution also indicted the 19-year-old father of the 19-year-old group B on charges of beating his 15-day-old son (born on October 6) and throwing it on the floor to inflict life-threatening injuries (child abuse and serious injury). claim for loss.

Group B was found to have committed the crime on the 22nd of October at home because his son did not sleep and cried.

Prosecutors have filed a claim for loss of parental authority, judging that group B has no will to raise her son and that there is a high possibility of further abuse.

An official of the Daegu District Prosecutors' Office said, "We have requested loss of parental authority because we have determined that there is a serious reason that can no longer allow those who have used their parental status as a means of crime to exercise parental authority." We will protect the rights of the socially underprivileged by actively exercising the rights and responsibilities given to us,” he said.
