A man in his 30s, who was driving in the opposite direction while intoxicated, collided with two cars driven by a mother and daughter one after another, killing her daughter.

Gyeongnam Geoje Police Station announced yesterday (22nd) that they had arrested a 33-year-old man A on charges of fatal injury such as dangerous driving under the Specific Crimes Aggravated Punishment Act.

According to the police, Mr. A was driving his car at 1:45 a.m. on the 15th at the Yangjeong Tunnel in Geoje City and collided with two oncoming vehicles one after another.

A woman in her 20s who was the driver of the car in front died in the accident, and a woman in her 40s who was driving the car behind suffered minor injuries.

As a result of the police investigation, it was determined that the two women were mother and daughter, and suffered a bowel movement on the day of the accident while returning home by car after closing the store.

It is said that the daughter who died in the accident originally worked in Seoul and came down to Geoje, where her home is after Corona 19, and helped run the store with her parents.

The police collected the blood of Mr. A at the scene of the accident and requested it to the National Forensic Service, and as a result, he was informed that his blood alcohol concentration was equivalent to the license revocation value.

Accordingly, the police believe that A was driving in a drunken state for about 2km from the playground in Aju-dong, Geoje-si to the Yangjeong Tunnel accident site on the same day.

A police official said, "Mr A, who caused the accident, suffered serious injuries such as fractures and is being hospitalized.
