TikTok has announced a series of upcoming changes to its app.

These include support for HD videos, support for GIFs, and tools to simplify content creation.

The most interesting feature is undoubtedly the possibility of uploading videos in 1080p.

When sending a video, you will have to select "More options", then activate the "Send in HD" button to activate the upload in 1080p.

This feature is currently only available in selected countries, but should be made available to all users in the coming weeks.

Giphy in green backgrounds and visual improvements

Another major addition, TikTok has partnered with Giphy to offer more resources to its users.

TikTok users will be able to choose from a large library of GIFs to use as a background with the "green background" effect for example.

It will now be possible to use GIFs in the background while reacting in front of the camera.

In order to facilitate the use of its application by the less tech-savvy, TikTok adds a "magic wand" to visually improve a video with just one click.

This new button will instantly improve exposure, low light and correct colors.

The option is available for videos from your camera roll and for videos recorded directly from TikTok.

To try it out, save or upload your video and hit the new "Improve" button on the right panel.

To cancel the improvement, press the “Improve” button again.

Finally, the last novelty concerns the musical and audio effects which are enriched with new functionalities.

It is now possible to transform your voice or other sounds into animal cries or into a musical instrument.
