Korean Air's labor and management have sued and filed a complaint with the police against a YouTuber who caused controversy over sensationalism with a so-called 'lookbook' video that introduces them in costumes similar to Korean Air flight attendant uniforms.



Korean Air announced today (21st) that it had filed a complaint against Mr. A, who uploaded a lookbook video on YouTube, to the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul.



Korean Air filed a complaint against Mr. A for violating the Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.



Korean Air also plans to file a civil damage claim against Mr. A and an injunction against the video.



Korean Air said, "The YouTuber video infringed on the moral rights of Korean Air flight attendants, seriously damaged professional self-esteem, and seriously damaged Korean Air's image, credibility and brand value.



Korean Air said, "We plan to take all legal measures to rectify the serious offenses of sexually commodifying flight attendants and misusing them for profit."



The Korean Air labor union also filed a complaint this morning with Mr. A on charges of insult and defamation under the Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes and the Information and Communications Network Act.



The union said, "The flight attendants who have been subjected to sexualization are frustrated by the appearance of Mr. A wearing a flight attendant's uniform and engaging in lewd behavior." “I think there was a purpose,” he insisted.
