The villagers committed the crime and caught the robber who fled with their whole body.



Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Police Station said that they arrested a 40-year-old man, A, on charges of breaking into a house and stabbing a couple in their 60s with a knife and then stealing money and belongings.



At about 5:50 pm on the 20th, Mr. A, disguised as a courier at a house in Hapjeong-dong, Pyeongtaek, stabbed an elderly couple once with a knife.



After wielding a weapon, Mr. A stole 200,000 won from the couple, and was caught by the residents while running away.



Two residents who were nearby chased after Mr. A when the couple's daughter shouted.



These residents caught Mr. A, who was trying to steal a vehicle, and then subdued it after a struggle.



The couple in their 60s, who were stabbed by a knife, were fortunately said to be not life-threatening.



A was confirmed to have stated that he committed the crime due to the hardships of living during the police investigation.



The police decided to apply for an arrest warrant for A on the charge of robbery.
