A woman has been sentenced to death by throwing her dog off the 16th floor of an apartment building out of anger after an argument with her husband.

The 10th single criminal case of the Suwon District Court (Judge Lee Won-beom) announced today (20th) that a woman in her 30s who was charged with violating the Animal Protection Act was sentenced to a fine of 3 million won.

A is accused of throwing a dog out of the balcony window on the 16th floor of an apartment building in November of last year, killing him. 

It was investigated that Mr. A committed such a terrible crime when her husband, who was arguing at the time, took the children out of the house and could not contain his anger.   

The court pointed out, "Considering the purpose of the Animal Protection Act and the circumstances of the crime in this case, Mr. A's crime quality is not good." 

However, the reason for the sentencing was explained, "A is reflecting on the crime and took into account that he accidentally committed the crime in a very emotionally unstable state."
