Seoul High Prosecutor's Office Chief Prosecutor Lee Seong-yoon emphasized, "We are maintaining political neutrality and conducting business fairly," said Han Dong-soo, head of the Inspection Department of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, who was accused of omitting a report to the Ministry of Justice in relation to the alleged leak of the indictment.

A head of the inspection department said in a SNS post today (17th), "The incidents experienced by the media and inside the prosecution are not limited to personal problems, but have interfered with normal inspection activities and resulted in prohibition from work."

He said, "The conservative media sold him as a strange person with pro-woman and pro-government tendencies in every major phase, such as the suspension of the Channel A case inspection, the suspension of the investigation of documents by the judges, the disapproval of the investigation into the case of perjury by former Prime Minister Han Myeong-sook, and the appointment of the inspector general. It is stigmatization and cultural violence.”

"I have served as a judge in the Kim Dae-jung, Roh Moo-hyun, Lee Myung-bak, and Park Geun-hye governments for 16 years, and I have never had any doubts about political neutrality from both the opposition and the ruling party when I served as an election presiding judge and election commissioner chairman."

Regarding the 'Judges Inspection Document', which was the basis for major exclusion from duties at the time of the petition for disciplinary action by former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, a candidate for the People's Power presidential election, he said, "I submitted it under my own judgment with 'the feeling of throwing my whole being' at the opportunity of being investigated in the disciplinary procedure of the Ministry of Justice. "There was no such thing as prior communication with the Ministry of Justice."

Following "If adopted as a witness in the disciplinary trial appeal, I have the courage to testify about the nature of the many cases that I have personally experienced and documented and the political neutrality of the prosecution.”

Previously, some media reported that the Supreme Prosecutor's Office did not properly report to the Ministry of Justice after discovering the circumstances in which the indictment was leaked in the course of investigating the truth about the alleged leak of the indictment of the High Prosecutor's Office, Lee Seong-yoon, and this was due to the instructions of a chief of the Inspection Department.

In response, a chief of the inspection department filed a complaint with the police, saying that it was 'obvious false reporting', and a civic group charged a chief of the inspection department with negligence of duty and obstruction of the exercise of the right to abuse of power.
