A man in his 20s who stole and drank bleach from PX (Chungseong Mart) on the grounds that he did not want to serve in the military was sentenced to probation in prison.



According to the legal community today (17th), the 10th single criminal case (Judge Kim Yong-min) of the Gwangju District Court sentenced a 21-year-old man who was charged with evading work and theft to 8 months in prison and 2 years of probation.



He also ordered 200 hours of community service.



Person A was charged with stealing and drinking two sips of bleach (lace) worth 1,630 won from a military unit PX in Gyeonggi-do around 7 pm on the 24th of May.



At the time, it was revealed that Mr. A, who was working as a signal operator at a certain company in the army, drank bleach and harmed his body, and then avoided military service, while he was determined to be unfit for service and committed this crime with the intention of being discharged early.



The court ruled, "The accused's crime needs to be severely punished in terms of equity with other citizens who faithfully perform military service. .
