A man sentenced to a fine for stalking was vindictive and retaliatory to the victim, his parents, and the police.

According to the legal community today (15th), male A (49) was sentenced to a fine of 6 million won for trespassing, etc.

As a result, Mr. A developed a sense of revenge against Mr. B and Mr. B's parents, as well as the police officer in charge of the case.

Then, on the morning of December 9 last year, he took out a blunt weapon in front of Mr. B's parents' house and threatened by shouting "I will kill them all" along with abusive language.

In February of this year, he visited Mr. B's workplace and threatened Mr. B by swinging a weapon while wearing a sign with obscene expressions on the front and back of his body.

At the same time, he also sprinkled prepared human materials on the front door and patrol car of a police box in Chungcheongnam-do, where the police officer in charge of his stalking crimes worked.

Person A also threw a letter at the police station with content that was likely to harm the policeman.

It was revealed that A was driving the car after covering the front license plate with A4 paper when driving between the house and the police box to hide what he had committed, such as throwing human waste and threatening letters.

According to the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes, Mr. A was charged with seven counts, including threats of retaliation, damage to public property, and defamation.

However, the 1st Criminal Division of the Daejeon High Court (Chief Judge Baek Seung-yeop) dismissed the appeal on the 10th, saying, "Considering that the victim passed on the responsibility to the victim until the last statement and made incomprehensible excuses, etc., the lower court judged the appropriate sentence." I did.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that the Commissioner of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency has delivered instructions to the Women's Youth Division of 31 police stations in Seoul to re-investigate all cases of sexual crimes as a measure in response to the frequent occurrence of violent cases against women, such as dating murder and stalking.

It is said that such an order is being promoted as part of a comprehensive countermeasure against stalking crimes.

The Stalking Punishment Act was enforced on October 21, but when women and their families were killed one after another due to a shortage of manpower and lack of laws, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency formed a 'Stalking Crime Response Task Force', etc. We are working hard to come up with relevant measures.

A police official said, "Crimes against women keep happening, so even frontline police stations are responding strongly."
