The police have made a decision to disclose the identity of Kwon Jae-chan, 52, who killed a female acquaintance and an accomplice.



The Incheon Police Agency decided to open the Personal Disclosure Committee at around 2 pm today (9th) to disclose personal information about Kwon Jae-chan.



The committee consisted of five outside members, including journalists, lawyers, doctors, and social workers, and three police officers from the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency.



The Commission has unanimously decided to release personally identifiable information for the public good, as there is sufficient evidence that the crime has been brutal and of grave harm.



The Incheon Michuhol Police Station arrested Kwon Jae-chan on the 7th on charges of robbery and murder and abandonment of the body.



Kwon Jae-chan is suspected of withdrawing millions of won from a credit card he stole after killing a woman in her 50s he knew in a building in Michuhol-gu, Incheon on the morning of the 4th.



Kwon Jae-chan is also accused of killing a man in his 40s, who was an accomplice, with a blunt weapon and then abandoning the body in a hill near Eulwang-ri, Jung-gu, Incheon the day after the crime.



The murdered man in his 40s was confirmed to have helped Kwon Jae-chan when he killed a female acquaintance and then abandoned the body.
