A video of the fall of a space object with a bright flash was published on social networks.
According to eyewitnesses, this happened on the evening of December 7, near the coast of the village of Lazarevskoye, located about 60 km from Sochi.
“If this meteor reaches the brightness of Venus and more, this phenomenon is called a fireball,” Ivanov noted.
The scientist noticed that this object was not only bright, but it had a long trail and then a flash.
According to Ivanov, this means that "complete destruction" of this space object has occurred.
In November, astronomers explained the bright flares in the skies of St. Petersburg and Karelia.
