There is a warm scenery that can be seen at the end of the year. They are anonymous donors like the so-called faceless angels of Jeonju who have secretly left bundles of money for 21 years. In Buan, there is an anonymous donor using the pseudonym Kim Dal-bong. Donations for good deeds, which have been going on for the past 5 years, have grown to 690 million won.

Reporter Hyein Joo reports.

On the morning of the 3rd, a man visited the Social Welfare Department of the Buan County Office.

The man who introduced himself as the agent of the anonymous donor Kim Dal-bong brought out a heavy paper bag.

The bag contained 120 million won in cash wrapped in a plastic bag.

The man quietly left this year as well, just telling him to write it for those in need.

[Kim Mi-ok/Director of Social Welfare Division in Buan-gun: He did not say anything else at all, but wrote it for the people in need in Buan (saying that he would like it) and delivered it.]

Kim Dal-bong’s good deed, which started with a donation of 50 million won in cash in 2016 has been running steadily for the past 5 years.

For the past two years, we have been delivering 120 million won in cash in paper bags every year through an agent.

The donation collected in the name of Kim Dal-bong was 698 million won.

The Jeonbuk Community Chest of Korea registered Kim Dal-bong as the second anonymous donor of the Honor Society, a group of donors with more than 100 million won earlier this year.

Since the winter is tougher than ever due to COVID-19, sharing in secret is giving a warmer sound.
