Two foreign students attending Kyunghee University and Seoul National University also tested positive for Omicron, and it was confirmed that they both lived in the campus dormitory.
In particular, in the case of Seoul National University, three other foreign students in the dormitory who had come in contact with a student infected with Omicron were confirmed and classified as suspected of Omicron.
It was investigated that they visited a local church in Incheon where the Omicron group infection occurred on the 28th of last month with three international students who were confirmed to be infected.
Many of the confirmed cases are concentrated in the Incheon area, but infections have already been confirmed in Ansan in Gyeonggi-do and Jincheon in North Chungcheong Province.
In the case of the delta mutation, it took five weeks for the number of domestic infections to exceed 30, whereas for Omicron, the number increased to 36 in one week.
It's because of the rapid spread, but in Incheon, a restaurant worker was infected even though he had only one minute of contact with an infected person with Omicron while wearing a mask.
