A claim has been raised that an 8-month pregnant woman was detained in the parking lot because of the parking lot manager who continued to ask for additional information even though she presented proof of pregnancy to receive a parking fee reduction at a public parking lot.

On the 3rd of the 3rd, a petition titled 'I was detained by the manager of a public parking lot because I couldn't confirm that I was pregnant' was uploaded on the Internet bulletin board of the Blue House National Petition.

The author, who said that she was 8 months pregnant, claimed that there was an argument at 9 pm on the 1st at a public parking lot near Bupyeong Station in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, due to an unreasonable request from the manager.

He said, "The janitor blocked the car with a circuit breaker, telling me to present the maternity notebook, as it was not possible to confirm pregnancy with the pregnant woman's vehicle registration certificate."

He added, "I'm an eight-month pregnant woman, and I have already been exempted from parking fees by using a pregnant woman's vehicle registration for several months, and I felt it was a clear dispute in that I had a relationship with the manager."

The author claimed, "Every time I go to Bupyeong Station, I frequently use the nearby public parking lot, and I had several problems with the parking lot manager."

He said, "When paying the parking fee, if you tell them it's a pregnant car and show your registration card, they'll say, 'Didn't you tell me when you first came in to give money?', or they say it's a long time, 'Why are you using it for free for so long? "It was smashed," he claimed.

“It’s not a sin to be pregnant,” he said, adding, “It’s so unfair that I have to go through something like this.”

The public parking lot was confirmed to be a facility operated by the Incheon Facilities Management Corporation consigned to the private sector.

An official from the Corporation said, "In the past, complaints were received and arbitration was initiated, but it seems that a problem has arisen again recently.
