A man in his 40s has been sentenced to prison for threatening a delivery driver with a knife for failing to comply with a request not to ring a doorbell.



Judge Nam Seung-min, the 6th independent criminal of the Incheon District Court, announced today (30th) that he sentenced 42-year-old A, who was charged with special intimidation, to four months in prison.



A was charged with threatening a 42-year-old delivery driver B with a knife on the stairs in front of his home in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon at 2:15 pm on August 16, last year.



He said that Mr. B did not comply with the delivery request not to ring the doorbell, and sent text messages such as "Me and XXX" and "I told you not to call while you were sleeping. Do you want to die?" When Mr. B returned, he threatened with a weapon. I did.



It was confirmed that A had a history of being punished for violent crimes in the past.



Judge Nam explained the reason for the sentencing, saying, "The defendant made the victim return after delivery and threatened with the prepared weapon.
