Panasonic is involved in a data breach,

Criminals have accessed data after gaining access to the Japanese company's network.

Panasonic reports on its website that the hack took place on November 11, but a company spokesperson told

TechCrunch

that this is the day the leak was discovered.

The hackers allegedly had access to the network between June 22 and November 3.

The company has not disclosed what data the hackers have seen.

Panasonic does report that it is working with a specialist to find out whether personal data of customers has also been viewed.

Panasonic says it immediately contacted the authorities after discovering the leak.

Security measures are also said to have been taken to prevent these types of hacks in the future.
