Prosecutors summoned former Supreme Court Justice Kwon Soon-il (62), who is suspected of 'trial transactions' in relation to the case of presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party of Korea in violation of the Public Official Election Act today (27th).

According to the legal community, the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office's dedicated investigation team (team leader Kim Tae-hoon, 4th deputy chief prosecutor) has been conducting investigations by summoning former Supreme Court Justice Kwon as a suspect from 2 pm today.

Former Supreme Court Justice Kwon became controversial when it became known that he was included in the so-called '5 billion club' list, which claimed to have received or promised money from developers of Daejang-dong.

In July of last year, two months before his resignation, he took the side of the majority when the Supreme Court dismissed and remanded the then-Governor of Gyeonggi-do Lee’s case of violating the Public Official Election Act with the intent of acquittal. .
