Yongpyong Ski Resort in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do, opened today. Then, until the 17th of next month, nine ski resorts in Gangwon-do will open in order to enter winter business.



Ski resorts had the worst season ever due to the corona virus last year, so they are hoping to make up for last year's sluggishness this season.



Last season, the number of ski resort users nationwide was 1456,000, down 61% from a year ago, the lowest in the last 10 years.



Ski equipment rental companies in the vicinity have closed down one after another, but this year, ski season ticket sales are close to the previous year, raising expectations.
