• Disney Encanto, the Disney musical film that will surprise the whole family (before Christmas)

  • Marvel Canarias, new Marvel territory thanks to 'Eternals', a (almost certainly) blockbuster with Angelina Jolie

It is going to be one of the great premieres between now and the end of the year.

The Gucci House

is a drama with touches of suspense and comedy that recalls the power struggle that took place in one of the most important fashion companies in history.

The film

hits theaters on November 26

and here are

5 reasons not to miss it

even if you don't like fashion.

LADY GAGA, A DRAMA STAR

It is no secret that

Lady Gaga is an artist who thrives on challenges.

And, musical virtues aside (on that there is little doubt that she is one of the greats),

her acting career is on the rise.

After trying his luck with minimal roles in

The Sopranos

,

Machete Kills

and

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For

, in

A Star Is Born

he won the game at times over Bradley Cooper.

In

The Gucci House

,

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta

embarks on a dramatic role for which she has been physically transformed to give life to the scheming Patrizia Reggiani.

Beyond the anecdote of the high consumption of carbohydrates to gain weight, having

used a northern Italian accent

or expressing more with a glance than with words are two great merits that must be highlighted.

ADAM DRIVER, THE CONSORT HEIR

Since the film starts and Maurizzio Gucci appears at a party, Adam Driver has imposed himself with a measured, sober interpretation in which his apparent expressionlessness serves as a counterpoint to the excess of Lady Gaga.

The heir to the Gucci empire turns out to be an intriguing character

, halfway between the seasoned businessman and the husband who lets himself be overwhelmed by his wife.

As 'but' it should be noted that Maurizio's changes of thought are not natural, going from a guy in the shadow of his wife to a killer and a hedonist with hardly any smooth transition.

Maybe something has to do with the montage.

RIDLEY SCOTT, THE DIRECTOR

You must never stop being amazed by a filmmaker like him. And it is that Ridley Scott handles himself like a fish in water before star-studded castings, giving each one the space they deserve. Bringing together

Lady Gaga, Adam Driver, Jeremy Irons, Al Pacino or Jared Leto

(plus

Salma Hayek

in a small but significant role) could have resulted in a reunion of egos.

But the director of

Alien

or

Blade Runner

has managed to direct them towards what he intended, graduating the drama and comedy to where he wanted.

And the story needed it, especially considering the length of the film, beyond two and a half hours.

Ridley Scott, who comes from the commercial failure of

The Last Duel

, seems to have led to a successful adaptation of a novel by Sara Gay Forden.

THE CHAMELEONIC JARED LETO AND A GRAND AL PACINO

Far from having the same prominence as Lady Gaga and Adam Driver, these two actors are a pleasant surprise that helps degrease the drama that is a tragedy like the one told here. Speaking of

Al Pacino, recovering an actor whose mere presence floods the screen is a reason for joy.

And more with details that recall the great actor that one day he was and that led him to appear immense and sinister in

The Godfather

and as a perfect trickster past thread in

The Price of Power

. To say just two examples of a mythical performer who reappears here as Aldo Gucci, Maurizio's uncle and a snake charmer tied to the fate of his unfortunate son Paolo (Jared Leto), a mediocre creator and a guy with no luck in life.

Leto has made up and characterized

to appear as a poor man ignored by his own family.

And, in that comic composition,

the actor feels powerful

.

It remains to be seen if any viewers will not exit the main story due to Leto's appearances.

THE SOUNDTRACK ... AND OF COURSE, THE COSTUME

The soundtrack of

La casa Gucci features

great songs from the 80s and 90s

, the time when much of the history of betrayals between members of the Gucci family takes place. As for its staging, the feature film becomes

a delight for fashion fans

with star appearances by characters such as

Anna Wintour or Tom Ford

, with a backdrop such as the production designs created by Arthur Max , a regular contributor to Ridley Scott and

whose motto, in his words, has been "to show elegance and luxury. The best of the best

.

"

Palaces in Milan, ski lodges in the Dolomites appear alongside creations by costume designer Janty Yates, who

made almost 70 different looks available to Lady Gaga

.

As Yates herself has stated "through the character of Lady Gaga we reflect the fashion of the three decades in which this story takes place".

A luxury for fashion addicts.
