A 50-year-old passenger who collapsed suddenly on a city bus regained consciousness thanks to first aid from the driver and passengers.



According to Gyeongju City, Gyeongsangbuk-do, on the 23rd at 11:33 a.m. on the 23rd, passenger A in his 50s lost consciousness and fell to the floor on the 51st city bus heading from Hwangseong-dong to Yonggang-dong Seungsam Intersection.



When Mr. A fell to the floor with a 'thump' sound, a passenger approached and laid Mr. A's body on the floor, and bus driver Mr. Kim Su-chan stopped the operation and immediately performed CPR.



Another passenger called 911 and informed the location of the bus and the condition of Mr. A.

CPR lasted about 1 minute.

In the process, another passenger helped them by supporting Mr. A's neck and kneading his limbs.



It is known that CPR and 119 call were carried out only '18 seconds' after Mr. A collapsed.

Thanks to the quick response of the driver and passengers, Mr. A was able to regain consciousness.



Bus driver Kim Su-chan said, "After checking the condition of the fallen passenger, I decided that it was a crisis situation because he was not breathing, so I performed CPR. .

He then thanked the passengers, saying, "It would have been difficult without the help of passengers such as Park Young-min (Daegu University), Lee Soon-jin (Gyeongju Women's Information High School), and Han Dong-gyu (Kyungbuk National University) students."



On the other hand, it is known that Mr. A, who was transferred to the hospital, has recovered his health to the extent that he can live a normal life.
