Yesterday (24th) at around 7:20 pm, a fire broke out in a house on the first floor of an apartment in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
About 260 residents were evacuated outside the apartment or on the roof, but in the process, 10 people inhaled smoke and were transported to the hospital for treatment.
The fire was extinguished in about 40 minutes, but all household items were burned.
The fire department believes that the fire was caused by the mistake of a resident who was trying to light a candle, and the flame was transferred to the mattress and the like.

Fire rises at the foot of the pitch-black mountain.
At around 8:10 pm yesterday evening, a forest fire broke out in a mountain in Onyang-eup, Ulju-gun, Ulsan.
It was difficult to access because of the steep slope, but the fire was extinguished at 2:20 a.m. after six hours of firefighting work by 130 personnel including the special fire fighting team.
Forest authorities plan to investigate the cause of the fire and the specific damage area as soon as the sun rises.
