It is never easy to get your children to respect the limits of use of smartphones or social networks.
And getting them to do their homework can sometimes be a miracle.
To help parents find a balance, a French start-up has developed an app to force children to do their homework before they can go on social networks.
Called Nanaba, the application allows you to block access to Snapchat, TikTok, Instagram or even YouTube.
To access the content they want to watch, they must first complete their reviews.
Anne-Laure Monier, president and co-founder of the company explains how the application works in Le Parisien: “To replay or watch videos again on their smartphone or tablet, the child must, for example, answer about fifteen questions or a quick test in less than a minute.
"
A program for 6 to 14 year olds
The application is aimed at the youngest, so it will be necessary to find something else for teenagers.
Nanaba offers a program suitable for children aged 6 to 14.
Many subjects are discussed such as history, geography, French, science or more generally general culture.
The application adapts to the level of each child to offer them an adapted experience.
"At first, they are resistant, but we see that after a few weeks, many want to spontaneously take the quizzes, because they see progress at school or college," says the leader.
Nanaba is currently focusing on France, but the start-up intends to expand in the coming months: “We particularly want to access the international market, in addition to Luxembourg, Belgium and Switzerland.
"
The app is available on iOS and Android.
To access the service, a subscription is required.
Prices range from 36 euros to 108 euros per year.
