Early in the morning, an elderly man in his 70s who was going out after shopping at the mart suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed.

Surprised by the sound of 'thump', the employees run quickly.

The staff who rushed to perform CPR immediately and asks the other staff to support their neck to secure the airway.

Another employee quickly calls 911 and explains the situation.

The staff calmly continued chest compressions, and passers-by took off the old man's shoes and started rubbing them.

First aid provided by mart employees and citizens together lasted for 3 minutes, and the elderly man miraculously recovered consciousness.

I was usually interested in CPR through TV or books, but when an emergency came up, I instinctively responded quickly.

[Lee Seung-won / Mart Manager: I instinctively started running. Because an old man has fallen. My whole body was shrunk. He was still breathing, and he did CPR together for about 2-3 minutes (I did it.)]

The old man who had regained consciousness was raised from the cold marble floor and seated on a chair, and the staff who took care of him by serving him warm water, and the old man who regained his senses, said thank you over and over again.

After a while, paramedics arrived and the elderly man was safely transported to the hospital.

The swift response of citizens who kept the golden hour saved precious lives.
