High school students who had a group brawl in Andong, North Gyeongsang Province were later caught by the police due to a video that went viral online.
The Andong Police Station announced today (22nd) that it had booked eight male students for arguing in the parking lot of a tourist complex in Andong Dam earlier this month.
As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that these were high school seniors in Andong and Yecheon.
On the night of October 31st, they got together on the birthday of a friend they knew and hung out together, but it is known that they had a fight over "Andong is senior, Yecheon is senior" and fought in the early morning of November 1st.
At first, it was confirmed that they had a fight at the Andong Dam parking lot when they were trying to fight at the local middle school playground but it was canceled due to a resident report.
The police obtained a video of the brawl that was uploaded online on the 4th and started an investigation.
A police official said, "The students fought like a UFC (U.S. mixed martial arts competition) for about two minutes, but they reconciled and reached an agreement."
The police said on the 19th that the case was settled and sent to the prosecution.
