“There is a topic that cannot but worry us, this is the topic of the militarization of outer space,” Solovyov said.

According to him, "in recent decades, the United States and its NATO allies have not yet deployed weapons into space, but potential carriers of these weapons."

Rogozin added that "future wars will start from outer space, so Russia must defend itself in this area as well."

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the alliance has no plans to deploy weapons in space.

In turn, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the transformation of outer space into an arena of conflicts is becoming a real threat.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova also said that Russia considers it necessary to start coordinating an international legal instrument to prevent an arms race in outer space as soon as possible.
