Subaru launches its first electric car

Subaru has launched its new Solterra, its first electric model.

The Japanese company explained that the new five-door car combines the attractive design features of compact SUV and combi models, noting that its length is 4.70 meters.

The car expresses its rugged character through the high body and protective panels on the body, as well as equipment to protect the bottom of the car.

Inside the car, an electric motor with a power of 204 hp transmits its power to the front axle, while the four-wheel drive versions include another engine on the rear axle with a power of 109 hp, while the total power of the system is 218 hp.

The drive system is based on a battery with a capacity of 71.4 kilowatt-hours, with which the car has a range of 460 km (four-wheel drive version) or 530 km (front-wheel drive version).

Subaru is expected to launch the new Solterra in the market during the summer of next year.
