It is expected that the cut-off line for each grade in the Korean language and mathematics domains (hereinafter referred to as the 'cut') will vary depending on the elective subject in the 2022 University Scholastic Ability Test (SAT), which is held under the new system.

According to the results of self-analysis of the provisional scores by 4 entrance exam companies as of the morning of the 19th, when selecting 'Speech and Writing' for Korean, the first grade cut scores 83~85 points and the second grade cut 75~85 points based on the original score. 79 points was expected.

In the case of selecting 'Language and Media', the expected score for the first grade cut is 82 to 83 points, and the second grade is 74 to 77 points.

In last year's CSAT, 88 points were grade 1 and 82 points were grade 2 based on the raw score.

In the case of Mathematics, there is a difference in the expected cut depending on the elective subjects.

If 'probability and statistics' was selected, it was expected that the raw score should be 85 to 87 points or higher, 'calculus' should be 81 to 84 points or higher, and 'geometric' should be 83 to 85 points or higher.

In the second grade, it was predicted that 75 to 79 points for 'confirmation', 71 to 76 points for 'calculus', and 74 to 77 points for 'geometry' was predicted.

Last year, the 'Mathematics Type', which was mainly seen by the humanities last year, scored 92 and 85 points, respectively, for the first and second grade cuts, and the 'Mathematics Type', which is often selected by the natural sciences, was 92 and 84 points.

This year is the first integrated CSAT in liberal arts and science, and it is difficult to simply compare the scores with the previous year because the grades are not divided into divisions.

However, it is analyzed that the humanities majors chose 'confirmation', and the natural sciences students chose 'calculus' or 'geometry'.

Even with the same raw score, the standard scores, percentiles, and grades calculated depending on the selected subject may all be different, so confusion is inevitable until the results are notified to the test takers on the 10th of the next month.

The final standard score is calculated for all test takers in each area after going through the elective score adjustment method using common subject scores.
