A man in his 30s with a physical disability has gone missing for the third day in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do, and his family is anxiously waiting.

According to the Chuncheon Police Station on the 19th, the missing person, 39-year-old Shim Sang-hwan, disappeared around 9:30 a.m. the day before (17th) around 2:00 p.m. while he and his family visited Munbae Village in Nam-myeon, Chuncheon-si, to eat and descend.

Munbae Village is a basin village located deep in the mountains that appears after about 40 minutes of climbing up the ridge on the right from the entrance of Gugok Falls.

Shim is 165 cm tall, weighs 70 kg, has short hair, and is dressed in a black jumper, black sportswear pants and black shoes.

Accordingly, the police issued a missing person alert at 8:50 am yesterday and formed a search team of about 100 people with the fire department to search, but Mr. Shim has not been found yet.

The police are requesting cooperation from the Gugok Falls management office and distributing missing flyers to hikers.

I also checked the surrounding closed circuit (CC) TV, but there were no pictures except for the image coming out of Gangchon Station on the morning of the 17th.

The police and firefighters are focusing on finding Mr. Sim by dispatching helicopters, police dogs and fire fighting dogs from 9 am today, centering on Munbae Village, keeping in mind the possibility of a fall.
