Deutsche Motors Chairman Kwon Oh-soo, who is accused of manipulating the company's stock price, has been arrested.

Deputy Chief Judge Lee Se-chang of the Seoul Central District Court issued an arrest warrant today (16th) saying, "There is a risk of destroying evidence" after interrogating the suspect before arresting Chairman Kwon.

Chairman Kwon is accused of manipulating the stock price of Deutsche Motors by colluding with so-called “players” from 2009 to 2012.

Chairman Kwon's arrest is also expected to affect the investigation of candidate Yoon Seok-yeol's wife, Kim Kun-hee.

Kim is suspected of acting as Jeonju by entrusting 1 billion won to Lee Mo, one of the stock price manipulation players, in January 2010.

An arrest warrant was requested for Lee last month, but he went into hiding before the substantive examination, but the prosecution caught him and arrested him last week.
