A social service worker charged with asking a middle school girl to send a video of an obscene act was sentenced to a suspended sentence in the first trial.

According to the court today (15th), the 31st part of the Criminal Settlement of the Seoul Central District Court (Chief Judge Seong-pil Jo) was a 24-year-old social worker who was accused of violating the Act on the Protection of Children and Youth (production and distribution of sexual exploits) on the 4th. Agent A was sentenced to 3 years in prison and 4 years of probation. In addition, he ordered 40 hours of sexual violence treatment lectures and five-year employment restrictions at child and youth-related organizations and welfare facilities for the disabled.

A was handed over to trial on charges of sending sexually humiliating and disgusting messages 59 times, including sending a message to B, who was a middle school student, asking him to send an obscene video in July or August of last year.

Prosecutors suspect that A produced and distributed sexual exploitation, such as receiving a video from Miss B.

However, during the trial, Mr. A's side denied the allegations, saying, "There is no fact that Ms. B actually filmed and sent the video," while "acknowledging that she sent an obscene message."

The court said, "According to the objective evidence, it is acknowledged that Mr. A requested an obscene video from Mr. B, but there is no evidence that Mr. B made and sent the video. The history of sending the video to Mr. A is also not confirmed." The crime of making and distributing exploits was judged as an attempt.

However, he pointed out, "If you look at the messages exchanged between Mr. A and Mrs. B, there are many things that are difficult to understand because it was sent to a middle school student. I think that Mr. A should be severely punished."

However, the court explained the reason for sentencing, saying, "Mr. A admits to the rest of the charges and is reflecting on his wrongdoing, and fortunately, the production of sexual exploitation was only attempted."
