, a town in northern

Italy

, will become a symbol of the city.

It is a

Lancia Fulvia from 1962,

owned by

Angelo Fregolent

.

The man, who is currently 94 years old,

stopped using his vehicle more than four decades ago

: he parked it at the door of his house and the kiosk that he previously ran and has never moved it again.

Since then it has become a local attraction for residents and tourists alike.

In fact,

when you search on Google Maps "Lancia Fulvia"

shows you the exact point where it was parked in Conegliano, as if it were a monument.

Less than a month ago the authorities decided to remove it from the parking site it has occupied for the last 47 years and, upon hearing the news, the organizers of a classic car show took an interest in it.

They asked the owner for permission to display it in the city.

The first thing they will do is restore it and, later,

the local authorities have decided that it will be exhibited in a municipal garden

located in front of the home of Fregolent, its owner.

The truth is that during all these years everyone has treated it with great care and, despite having been parked in the open for almost half a century, it has never been the victim of any act of vandalism and the vehicle is kept in perfect condition, beyond of the damages caused by the passage of time.
