Singer Kim Heung-guk, who was handed over to trial on charges of running away from the scene after hitting a motorcycle while driving, was sentenced to a fine in the first trial.

On the 4th, the Seoul Western District Court sentenced Kim, who was handed over to trial on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (no action taken after an accident) and escaping under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes, a fine of 7 million won.

Kim is charged with driving a sports utility vehicle (SUV) at the intersection of Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, around 11:20 a.m. on April 24, while driving a sports utility vehicle (SUV), illegally turning left, collided with a motorcycle and fled.

In the accident, the motorcyclist suffered injuries to his right leg, including bruises and lacerations of the three anterior teeth.

The court said, "He caused a traffic accident by negligence in violating the signal, damaging the other motorcycle and injuring the driver. The severity does not appear to be serious,” he said, explaining the reason for the sentencing.

Earlier, the Seoul Western District Prosecutor's Office did not refer Kim to a formal trial, but filed a summary indictment requesting a summary order through a written hearing, but the court referred Kim to a formal trial.
