The 'Chairman Candidate Recommendation System', in which judges directly recommend the chief judge, will be extended to 13 district courts next year.

Chief Justice Kim Myung-soo, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, said on the court's internal network 'Courtnet' today (10th), "In addition to the Seoul Eastern District Court and Daejeon District Court, which are currently being piloted, four courts including the Seoul Administrative Court, Seoul Western District Court, Suwon District Court, and Jeonju District Court have been newly launched (Chief of the Court) We will implement a recommendation system,” he said.

If the recommendation system is expanded as scheduled, 13 of the 21 district courts across the country will be covered next year.

The Court Administration Office of the Supreme Court has decided to receive recommendations for judges from the applicable courts by December 23.

Previously, the Judicial Administration Advisory Council decided to expand the nomination system for Supreme Court Chief Justice to 21 within the term of Chief Justice Kim (until 2023).
