The Central Quarantine Countermeasures Headquarters announced that as of 00:00 today, the number of new confirmed cases increased by 2,425 to a cumulative total of 385,831.
The number rose by 710 from yesterday (1,715), rising to the 2,000 level again in three days after the 7th (2,224).
Last Tuesday (3 days as of the announcement date), there were 242 fewer new confirmed cases than 2,667.
The number of new confirmed cases stagnated until the beginning of the week due to the effects of weekends and holidays, but on Wednesday, when the week enters the week, it shows a significant increase compared to yesterday.
In particular, there is a forecast that the spread of the virus could become stronger again from the middle of this week, as the effect of quarantine relief following the gradual recovery of daily life, which started on the 1st of this month, will appear in earnest from this week.
The route of infection of the new confirmed cases is 2,409 domestic and 16 imported.
Looking at the number of new confirmed cases in Korea by region, the metropolitan area has a total of 1,989 (82.6%), including 967 in Seoul, 863 in Gyeonggi, and 159 in Incheon.
The proportion of the metropolitan area has risen to the 70% level on September 10 (74.6%), and has not fallen, rising and falling in the 70-80% range.
Non-metropolitan areas: Busan 73, Gyeongnam 60, Chungnam 57, Gyeongbuk 36, Jeonbuk 35, Daegu 33, Chungbuk 31, Daejeon and Gangwon 23 each, Gwangju 22, Jeju 11, Jeonnam 7, A total of 420 (17.4%) including 5 from Ulsan and 4 from Sejong.
