A large-scale power outage has occurred in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province, causing inconvenience to the citizens.
Korea Electric Power Corporation announced today (9th) that from 10:26 a.m., there was a power outage in Yeoju.
KEPCO explained, "The power outage is due to a breakdown at the substation in Yeoju, and the exact size and cause of the damage are being investigated."
It is known that electricity supply is being resumed in some areas.
There have been no reports of traffic accidents due to power outages so far, but citizens are experiencing inconvenience, such as suddenly turning off the traffic lights and stopping the elevators in operation.
