Currently, there are hundreds of believers gathered inside the church, and they strongly resisted the forced execution that started in the afternoon.
Police and enforcement personnel mobilized excavators to remove barriers and build earthen walls to prevent the building from collapsing, but they shouted and threw stones.
When the entry into the space created by the excavator began, fire extinguishers were mobilized.
A person who appeared to be a member of the church ran into an excavator and was taken into custody by the police.
The execution was attempted for about 5 hours, but as it got dark, the police stopped the execution for fear of human casualties.
Re-entry was discussed for a while, but at 6:40 pm, the court declared that enforcement was not possible.
This is the fifth compulsory execution attempt against Sarang First Church, and all of them have been blocked by resistance from members since last year.
Last April, the execution was canceled on the same day due to fear of clashes.
Last year, during the 3rd execution, the church even mobilized Molotov cocktails, and about 10 people were injured.
The church has been demanding about 56 billion won, which is seven times the amount set by the Seoul Land Expropriation Committee as compensation.
The redevelopment association filed a lawsuit, and the church lost the appeal last month following the first trial.
