Scientists predict that this state of the planet's magnetic field will persist for two to three days.
The researchers explain that the magnetic storm was caused by a solar flare of the M1.7 level, which occurred two days ago.
The RAS has previously assessed the danger of a magnetic storm approaching Russia.
