A man in his 50s who was resentful at having his driver's license revoked and paying a fine for driving under the influence was arrested on charges of trying to set fire to a police box.

A 55-year-old man drove a truck to the parking lot of an out-of-town police box in Miryang-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, drunk at around 3:30 pm yesterday (3rd) and sprayed gasoline on his body with a lighter on his body.

At that time, a police box employee hastily took the lighter that A was holding and prevented an accident.

It is known that Mr. A threatened to "set a fire" on the phone before arriving at the police box.

It is reported that Mr. A stated that he tried to set fire to the police box with his resentment against me in a drunk traffic accident four months ago, my driver's license was revoked and a fine of 5 million won.

At that time, it was the out-of-country police box that received a 112 report and cracked down on drunk driving.

The police plan to apply for an arrest warrant for A on charges of arson in a public building and violating the Road Traffic Act.
