Public officials who traveled abroad after taking sick leave or parental leave were caught in the audit.
According to the Daejeon City and Dong-gu Office, 10 out of 244 Dong-gu Office officials who took long-term vacations from 2018 to May this year were found to have traveled overseas that did not meet the purpose of the leave.
An employee submitted a medical certificate for anxiety disorders, etc. and took a sick leave for a month from June 2019.
This employee stated that 'I suddenly went on a trip with a friend while I was resting at home', but it was confirmed that he had already purchased a ticket two months before taking the sick leave. I also received thousands of dollars unfairly.
Another employee who took parental leave for one year from the end of 2018 was caught in an audit that he had gone on two overseas trips without accompanying a child subject to childcare. It is being pointed out that it is a flimsy punishment because it is handled with a relatively low level of caution or regardless.
