A 20-year-old man who lured a 9-year-old elementary school girl by pretending to be a middle school girl on social media was caught by the police.



The Seongnam Jungwon Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced today (27th) that they had arrested a man in his 20s and sent him to the prosecution on charges of abducting and enticing minors.



A is accused of luring and meeting 9-year-old B, whom he met through SNS at Suseong High School in Seongnam-dong, Jungwon-gu, Seongnam-si, between 4 and 6 pm on the 14th for the purpose of committing a crime.



As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that Mr. A had been pretending to be a middle school girl on SNS for several months and built up a friendship with Miss B through chatting.



On the day of the incident, the police received a report from an academy official that Miss B did not appear at the academy, and after tracking the location of Miss B's cell phone, she found Miss B near Suseong High School in Seongnam-dong within 2 hours.



At the time of discovery, it is known that Ms. B was walking with Mr. A.



B was rescued safely, and it was confirmed that A confessed to all the crimes.




A police official said, "It was judged that Mr. A had approached Miss B for the purpose of the crime, and he was arrested on the 16th."
